Excellent road holding - feels like a different car. Didn't have any confidence in the factory fitted Maxxis tyres. Still retained economy - thought that may have suffered with grippier tyres.

as always very good in all conditions. the performance drop off at about 3mm tread depth is noticeable- much less and they become slippery in wet conditions and prone to aquaplaning and understeer, but from new feels like the car is stuck to the road

As yet the tyres have not really been tested by poor weather, be that snow, ice, a torrential down pour or an emergency braking manoeuvre. Suffice to say, the car feels well connected to the road and with my relaxed driving style the limits of grip are not going to be tested in day to day driving. All a bit early to comment on the longevity of the tyres, but the last set of front tyres lasted some 35,000 miles, and it is to be hoped that the current set do the same. Michelin mention a US Department of transportation study, that shows the tyre to achieve 67,300 miles on a treadwear test, significantly better than other marques. How this relates to real world driving conditions is unknown and makes my 35,000 miles look rather meagre. Should they get past 40,000 miles, then a more stars should be added to the review
