Quiet and long lasting

Immediately on driving on my new Michelin Crossclimate tyres I was impressed by how much quieter they were than my previous brand. SInce then I have been pleased with their slow rate of wear which again appears to be much slower than previous brands.

Feel safe on rainy days

I started using these tyres from when they were 1st produced. A very good product having improved with time the standard they are now is fantastic. Stopping in wet road noise improved mileage on fuel!!!

Beyond expectations.

Had the tyres from Nov 23 to May 24, covering 4,000miles. They are absolutely brilliant with great performance in the wet, on cold frosty days and on warm days. Immeasurably superior to the original tyres supplied by the manufacturer in every way and are not wearing away as quickly. Will definitely purchase again.

Over rated

A good all round tyre, too early to say how long it will last ( I've only done 12k on it so far ) so hard to say if it's good value. Good performance in wet and dry conditions, but... and here's the but. In the few days of snow we have had this year, this set of tyres were the worst " winter/allseason" I've ever used. I have a " test hill " nearby, that has been the bench mark for all my vehicles and tyres for two decades, and these CC2's failed. I have gone from full winter tyres to all-season tyres, and all have managed to climb the hill, some better than others, but none have simply failed. I read lots of positive reviews about these tyres, and decided to give them a go as there was a deal offered so they were of a similar price to the brand I was replacing, but I won't be buying these again. I buy All Season tyres because I know that at some point in the year I will encounter snow, whether its locally or in the French alps, and will need their abilities to get me to my destination, and these didn't, to the point where I put my snow socks back in the van, which I only do in the alps.

Best tyres I've ever had

I have more than 40 years of driving experience, and I can honestly say these tyres are the best I've ever fitted. I was worried that, as an all-season tyre, they would be a real compromise; that they would not be as good as a winter tyre in winter or a summer tyre in summer—just average all year. My other worries were greater road noise and a worsening in fuel economy. But I wanted a tyre better suited to wet or wintery roads, so I started researching tyre tests. The CrossClimate 2 consistently came at or near the top of the list, so I went ahead and replaced all four tyres. On my very first journey, they were an absolute revelation. Torrential rain came down on the motorway, and the lanes started to build up standing water. The grip and water clearing were phenomenal. I hadn't anticipated such a massive improvement. I didn't drive any faster than I would with my old tyres, but I felt so much more confident with the grip, stability and traction I was getting. And I needn't have worried about a loss of performance in summer. The grip is just as good as the summer tyres I was using before (factory-fitted Hankook Ventus S1 eco2 SUV); in fact, the cornering and handling have improved. We haven't had much snow or ice this winter, so I can't comment on performance in those conditions, but the performance on wet or dry roads is fabulous. The fuel economy is unchanged, and the road noise is good (no worse than my other tyres). Tyre wear seems fine. My only regret is not switching to them years ago! I've now fitted a set to my wife's car. A note on fitment: There were three fitments available for my Tiguan, and I was unsure which to choose. I spoke to Michelin and settled on 235/50R19 103V XL VOL. There were also two SUV fitments, but they had worse fuel efficiency (C rather than A) and speed ratings (H rather than V). Michelin confirmed the VOL fitment would be fine, and after six months of use, I've had no problems at all—far from it! It seems that although they're homologated for Volvo, that doesn't mean they can't or should not be fitted to other makes.
