The tyres performed well but I have recently changed to a newer model Golf eHybrid which sadly is fitted with Bridgestone tyres which do not perform as well as the Michelins.

The tyres perform well across most conditions, especially heavy rain but there is a tendency for wheel spin in damp conditions when pulling away sharply from a road junction. The energy consumption of the tyres is very good and has extended my PHEV range from 26 to 28 miles, so overall I am very happy.

I bought a used Electric Golf, it came with four new tyres, we had a puncture a couple of weeks into our ownership, which was perfectly repairable, and it was repaired by Pro-Tyre, but they told us the tyres firtted were NOT suitable for an Electric car, so I decided to research who makes EV specific tyres. After several days of research, it seems that ONLY Michelin actually make them! I took my car back to Pro-Tyre for them to fit four new Michelin e-Primacy, and I’m so glad I chose Michelin Tyres, they are outstanding, so much quieter than the non EV tyres, they are very comfortable too, handling improved too, it also slightly improved the range. I highly recommend Michelin e-Primacy Tyres. In the list below, for car type, there isn’t an option for e-Golf, so I had to choose iD3
